Making a consumer complaint

If you feel the service provided was not adequate or incorrectly done, the first step is to call the business owner and state your concerns.

If this fails, you should write a short letter, very clearly outlining the problem.

If the situation cannot be resolved by direct contact with the business owner or service provider, you should contact the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection.

Phone: (08) 9282 0777 or 1300 136 237.

As a last resort, you may take the matter to the Magistrates Court of Western Australia, though this should only be considered once all other avenues have been exhausted as it can be a long and possibly costly action.
