RAC master check 30 day warranty

Terms and conditions:  

  • The warranty only applies to RAC master checks conducted in the Perth metropolitan area.

  • The warranty only applies to factory standard, licensed, roadworthy vehicles.

  • All repairs are to be conducted at an RAC Auto Services Centre or a specialist RAC Approved Repairer.

  • The warranty holder must contact RAC Vehicle Inspections Administration on (08) 9210 0904 prior to having any work carried out.

  • Repairs must be authorised by RAC Vehicle Inspections Administration prior to work being undertaken.

  • The warranty holder must have the vehicle repaired within 30 days of RAC approving the repairs.

  • The warranty holder must pay the RAC Auto Services Centre or specialist RAC Approved Repairer for the full cost of repairs and submit the statement of work and paid invoice to RAC Vehicle Inspections, 253 Balcatta Rd, Balcatta, WA 6021. The RAC upon checking the statement of work and invoice will reimburse the warranty holder for the cost of the repair up to the value of $500.

  • The mechanical fault must occur within 30 days from the date of the inspection (the warranty period).

  • All claims under the RAC Vehicle Inspections 30-day Mechanical Warranty must be notified to the RAC Vehicle Inspections Administration on (08) 9210 0904 within 7 days of the expiry of the warranty period. Claims notified more than 7 days after the expiry of the warranty period will not be accepted.

  • The warranty holder can make multiple claims under the warranty up to the limit of the RAC Vehicle Inspections 30-day Mechanical Warranty ($500 for Pre Purchase Master Check inspections). For the avoidance of doubt, the total liability of RAC under the warranty for all claims is $500 for Pre Purchase Master Check inspections.

The mechanical warranty excludes:

  • Any items repaired after the inspection without an authorised claim number.

  • Consumables eg; tyres, batteries, oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc.

  • Pre-existing faults identified in the inspection report.

  • Any items covered under a valid dealer statutory warranty or extended warranty.

  • All faults identified as O, M, E, S or W on the vehicle inspection report.

  • Any non-mechanical items, including accessories, bodywork and interior trim and upholstery.
