This major community based crime prevention programme aims to help reduce preventable crime at the local level by encouraging neighbours to look after one another.
Working in conjunction with the WA Police Service, neighbours involved in the Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) scheme can greatly reduce the incidence of crime in their community.
Neighbourhood Watch can only be successful with this local community support.
In June 2002 the RAC began its major sponsorship, highlighting the synergy between the goals and objectives of NHW and those of the RAC and safer communities.
As Western Australia's leading home insurer, it makes sense for the RAC (with particular focus on the Insurance division) to support a partnership such as this one. RAC Insurance is keen to play its part in helping reduce the incidence of neighbourhood crime and the resulting financial and emotional costs to our communities.
