Public transport in your area, tell us what you think
26 February 2008
Perth's dramatic growth and burgeoning population are putting an increased strain on the city's transport infrastructure.
With the freeways and main arterial roads increasingly congested at peak hour, more people are turning to public transport to get around - but does the current system cope with demand and are Perth's buses and trains up to scratch?
The RAC, Community Newspaper Group and Channel Seven are giving public transport users a chance to have their say about what they think about Perth's public transport system, good or bad.
We want to find out why people use, or don't use, public transport so, whether you travel by train or bus, or would like to but can't for some reason, we want to hear from you.
The survey will identify the issues from your area or from your journey and will compile a list of public transport hots spots around Perth. The RAC will then analyse the information and work with State and local government to the benefit of public transport users.
If you've got something to say about Perth's public transport system visit: publictransport.rac.com.au and have your voice heard.
The survey runs until 4 April 2008 and the main problem areas will be published in Community Newspapers and broadcast on Channel Seven News in May.
