RAC Motoring Policy
RAC has over 600,000 members - representing one person in every second household in Western Australia.
When RAC was founded in 1905, the primary reason was to protect the interests of its motoring members against unfavourable decisions by governments and authorities. Other activities in the first decade of RAC's existence included the provision of road signs and direction boards, as well as action which which resulted in the reduction of the high price of motoring fuel. Throughout our long history we have maintained this dual approach to providing benefits to our members; the provision of direct services combined with advocacy action.
Our members want to know where we stand on a range of issues, what we are saying on their behalf and what we are doing to advance their interests.
Similarly, RAC wants to know members' views on a range of issues so that priority effort can be devoted to addressing their major concerns.
RAC has developed an extensive range of policy statements to guide the RACWA Council and staff when advancing advocacy matters. Each policy is given a unique number and the date of latest amendment is also provided.
